About Me

I’m 48, married for 23 years with an 15 year-old son and a five-year old puppy. We live in New York, about 45 miles north of New York City. I am a stay-at-home dad, I work from home as a freelance writer/proofreader/editor of literally all things, and love to cook, write, listen to music, and read. I have a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in English, love crossword puzzles and am a baseball fanatic, and I mean fanatic, with a large collection of baseball autographs, cards and memorabilia.

I maintain two blogs, One Dad’s Kitchen and The Office of Iguana Flats. One Dad’s Kitchen is where I get to share my love of cooking and trying out recipes for my family and friends. I try to make things that are easy to follow and do and that a lot of people (especially my family) seem to like. I use a lot of well-known cookbooks, cooking shows, cooking magazines and websites to get my recipes and give them a try. Sometimes I put my own spin on things and change them up a little to make them more appealing to family. The Office of Iguana Flats is more of an eclectic blog where I like to talk about different things, ask questions, talk about baseball, books, movies, interact with celebrities and just plain write. It also gives me a good outlet to talk about the experiences I had and still have as a result of an illness I contracted in 2009. You can read more about here if you’re interested. You can always find me on Twitter (@IguanaFlats), Facebook or leave a comment on my blogs or send me an e-mail at IguanaFlats@msn.com. Thanks for stopping by!

Just found your site while searching for the turkey & stuffing recipe from america’s test kitchen, they say their recipes are free on tv until you go to the website and find it’s not….Thank-you so much you saved me yesterday.
